Author Biography

Shakkir Talib Mujahid

Shakkir Talib Mujahid is an educator, write and facilitator for the Alternatives to Violence Project. He has also been involved in Youth Challenge and the Friend of a Friend program mentoring youth at risk of imprisonment. He is also a member of Positive Change Think Tank, which develops ideas for addressing crime, violence and social injustice. This paper was completed during a course offered at Jessup Correctional Institution by Dr. Andrea Cantora through the University of Baltimore’s Second Change College Program.
