Author Biography

Mike Larsen

Mike Larsen is a PhD candidate in Sociology at York University and Co- managing Editor of the Journal of Prisoners on Prisons (JPP). He is also a Researcher at the York Centre for International and Security Studies (YCISS). His work deals with contemporary policies of indefinite and preventive detention, with a focus on the Canadian context, and with issues of secrecy and access to information. In 2007, he coordinated the After Arar Workshop Series on Security Intelligence and Human Rights, hosted by the Nathanson Centre on Transnational Human Rights, Crime and Security.
