Danielle Bird (Nehiyaw) is a member of the Saddle Lake Cree Nation in Alberta and has familial ties to the Mistawasis Nehiyawak in West Central Saskatchewan. She is currently a PhD student in the Department of Indigenous Studies at the University of Alberta.
