Rod Carter

Rod Carter is the Director of the Restorative Justice Program at Queen’s University’s Theological College and a faculty member there. Before his current assignment, he was the Regional Chaplain for Ontario with the Correctional Service of Canada and Prison Chaplain at Joyceville Institution. Mr. Carter earned his Master of Divinity degree from Queen’s Theological College after completing his Bachelor of Arts degree from Trent University. After earning a teaching certificate, he taught for ten years in the Northwest Territories and Ontario. He is an ordained minister with the United Church of Canada. He has held pastorates in Alberta and the Yukon. He is a certified Institutional Specialist with the Canadian Association for Pastoral Practice and Education. An ex-prisoner, Rod received a criminal pardon from Solicitor General Francis Fox in 1977.
