Mumia Abu-Jamal is a prolific writer whose work has appeared in the Yale Law Review, San Francisco BayView, and in the Journal of Prisoners on Prisons. He has written numerous books, the latest of which is We Want Freedom: A Life in the Black Panther Party (Cambridge: South End Press, 2004). A book on jailhouse lawyers is forthcoming. As of this writing (April 2006) Mumia Abu-Jamal remains on Death Row in Pennsylvania.
