VOLUME 20, NUMBER 2 (2011) is a general issue of the Journal of Prisoners on Prisons edited by Mike Larsen and Justin Piché dedicated to Liz Elliott, who was a founding member of our Editorial Board, restorative justice scholar and practitioner, and important contribute to penal abolitionism in Canada. The collection features contributions on the impacts of penal intensification on prisoners in the United States and a piece written by a political prisoner caged for refusing to join Israel's armed forced. It also features papers written by current and former prisoners that were presented at the Thirteenth International Conference on Penal Abolition (ICOPA 13) in Belfast, Northern Ireland and the mass detention that took place during the G-20 summit in Toronto, Ontario, Canada held in June 2010.
