This article outlines the history and evolution of the Canadian Language Benchmarks/Niveaux de compétence linguistique canadiens in the context of their expanding roles as key components of Canada’s second language policy for immigrants as Citizenship and Immigration Canada and the Centre for Canadian Language Benchmarks prepare to release extensively revised and validated versions of the standards following a Pan-Canadian National Consultation.Downloads
