Author Biography

Christine Suurtamm, University of Ottawa

Christine Suurtamm is a Full Professor of Mathematics Education and teaches in the areas of mathematics education, assessment and qualitative research. Her research focuses on the complexity of teachers' classroom practice. Dr. Suurtamm is Director of the Pi Lab, a research facility supported by the Canada Foundation for Innovation. She is also the recipient of several teaching and research awards including Excellence in Teaching, the Capital Educator's Award and the University of Ottawa Excellence in Education Award. She is currently the Vice-Dean Research and Professional Development in the Faculty of Education at the University of Ottawa.
