This article measures the level of mastery of the Tifinaghe writing system by second-year primary school students in Morocco. The study bears heavily on the results of an evaluative diagnosis of the use of the Tifinaghe writing system in the teaching learning of reading and writing skills in Amazigh. The article addresses the general context of the study, its objectives, its theoretical and methodological framework along with its results. The study hopes to contribute to the improvement of the quality of teaching/learning Amazigh in Moroccan schools. *Cette étude a été réalisée au Centre de Recherche Didactique et des Programmes Pédagogiques (CRDPP)/Institut Royal de la Culture Amazighe (IRCAM) sous la direction de M.
